Batik Lifestyle (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal data when you visit our website, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter or contact us, in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
What personal data do we collect?
- Order details: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, the items you buy and any notes you add at checkout.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of your payment, but we never see or store your full card number.
- Messages: your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us when you use our contact form or email us.
- Newsletter: your email address and the date you subscribed, if you choose to join.
- Technical data: basic information your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, which our servers record to keep the website secure and working.
How do we use your personal data?
- to process, pack, ship and track your order, and to send you order and delivery updates;
- to handle returns, exchanges, refunds and customer service requests;
- to reply to your messages;
- to send our newsletter, if you have subscribed — you can unsubscribe at any time;
- to protect our website and customers against fraud and misuse; and
- to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We collect and use only what we need for these purposes, with your consent or as otherwise permitted under the PDPA.
Who do we share it with?
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as much as they need:
- Stripe, to process payments securely;
- couriers and postal services, to deliver your order;
- our website hosting and email providers, to run the website and send messages; and
- public authorities, where we are required to by law.
Some of these providers process data outside Singapore. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data receives a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA.
Do you use cookies?
Our website uses a small number of essential cookies so that your shopping cart and checkout work and the site stays secure. If we use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the website, those tools set additional cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, although the cart and checkout need essential cookies to work.
How long do you keep my data?
We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil your order and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Messages are kept for as long as needed to help you, and newsletter details until you unsubscribe. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
How do you protect it?
Our website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, payments are handled by Stripe, and access to order information is restricted and password-protected. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we make reasonable security arrangements to protect your personal data.
What are my choices and rights?
Under the PDPA you may ask to access or correct the personal data we hold about you, and you may withdraw your consent to its use at any time. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide some services, such as completing an order. To stop receiving our newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.
To make a request, email contact@batiklifestyle.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it, and we will respond as soon as reasonably possible.
Children
Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
